There’s plenty of overlap of Christians who both haven’t missed church in 20 years AND have never read the bible.
That’s because Church offers them the “Cliff Notes” version, which is cherry-picked to all hell. So, yes, haven’t read it. And if they have, they didn’t do it with any reading comprehension skills because their brains mask out what hasn’t been cherry-picked.

Trump specifically does not give a shit about fiscal conservatism so I suppose you could argue that puts him slightly to the left of some hardcore ideologues on those public spending issues. But not really since he has no actual values and only feels that way because he thinks (correctly) that cutting welfare is unpopular.
