Yesterday I grabbed a case of beer, a pack of cigarettes and some tinned fish and dedicated my day to cleaning and organizing my workshop. I fought until 5:30 in the morning and made tremendous progress.

This was after I could see the surface of half of my work bench.

Buy smoked cheddar or wait until temps get in the 50s and cold smoke some with apple wood chips or pellets.
Get or make mini naan.
Make this sauce. With home canned jalapenos or store bought pickled ones.
Make bacon.
Butter the pan and assemble everything like any other grilled melt but don’t try to fold the naan over until it’s softened enough from the heat.
Flip and ass mure butter.

I have frozen egg rolls in my collection. My goal is to make a large batch and stop buying.

What seasoning did you go with on the ribs? Was that a homemade egg roll? What’s in the egg roll? Do you have this week’s lottery numbers?

Minimalism is for people that can solve any problems with money. No tools. No rainy day supplies. No “just in case” in the back of a cabinet. Something breaks? Call a guy. Need 300 cup cakes? Catering.

Tariffs.

I’ll dry some and grind it. It will supply my switchel needs next summer. Maybe some Jamaican ginger beer / root drink. I’ll make fermented ginger ale out of some. I’ll bury some deep in the driest part of my yard and hope it survives in the spring. If I can find a good price on plums I’ll make some ginger plum jam and then see if I want to raise some meat ducks next year. I’ll make some ginger syrup for use in forced carbonated ginger ale. I will probably candy some of it.

I will never have too much ginger. But this is the first year I will have enough ginger to do the basics without breaking the bank.
