I can really seen Gen V struggling. They wanted to make something shocking, dystopic, but as things develop, all they can do is be like: Oh, that thing, right, we got that too in our show!

Here’s my attempt at satire at this current climate: The leader of the US met up with the other world leaders, behaved politely, improved relations and got genuinely complemented on his diplomatic abilities.

The number of times I’ve chuckled before saying “oh thats [reputable news source]” in horror lately is far too many

That’s why I say that South Park died in 2016. Because it’s impossible to come up with something more absurd than Trump becoming president… Well it was the dumbest thing ever until 2024.

I found it brilliant. It illustrates that they detained people even though they had been deemed by god as good people. They didn’t care and still went “just doing their jobs”. It pushed the bit to and extreme that it doesn’t matter if the people are good or even supposed to be where they are, they’re detained by profiling. Which is true

I disagree. It’s a play on being American. Even tho you’re an American citizen, you’re still treated as a 2nd class citizen if you’re not white.

Of course it can’t be both due to Pauly’s law of satiric reference. You’ll have to fight to the death for a valid answer.

Trump will soon save them from their misery by outlawing the satire. Who needs something that can’t be used to praise Trump anyway?

The American ambassador to Canada is a spineless fuckstick of a coward. He also started crying like a tiny infant who had gotten colic the other day, because, apparently, anti-American sentiment is quite high in Canada and he doesn’t understand why.

The Beaverton is the Canadian version of the onion. They made a news article yesterday saying that the American ambassador threatened to bomb an invade Canada unless the anti-American sentiment improved. I legitimately thought that quote was fucking real.

Just a demonstration of both how difficult it is to make satire today, as well as how believably fucking insane Americans usually are in this current era.
