A friend on the outside could then use the geolocation data from the analocator and drone deliver supplies at night. The contestants turn the camera off at night and the secret delivery wouldn’t have to be anything overt that would be easily noticeable post-delivery.

Contestants are allowed to bring ten items to the location with them. Part of the show is deciding which items to bring and which items to go without - skipping a fire starter or a water bottle, for example. But this way they could drone deliver a few of those small items they skipped out on.

I’m talking about this show, for anyone unfamiliar: Alone - Wikipedia

Reality TV is a style of presentation, not a type of content. Many of these shows and contests are as scripted as normal dramas, comedies and procedurals - only filmed in a style reminiscent of a documentary.

While they are left alone the team is not very far away. I think an hour or so by boat. The contestants are not super far from each other as well but the terrain and walking isolates them. Every mile is a workout. Add to this that the only elctronics anywhere near is on the ship and the camera equipment. I guess what im saying is the drone could easily get caught even if small because if its small it has to be launched closer to the person which means a ship that could get caught. If it has to go a far distance it has to be far larger and it can’t blend in to any other electronic/mechanical noise in the area. Lastly they get regular wellness checks which are also inspections so they better damn well hide that shit good.

They do regular health check-ins with the contestants, and if you’re not losing weight but there’s no footage of you catching food, they’re going to figure out pretty quickly that something’s up.

On top of that, the locations are chosen so that just hiking out to you with food would be a survival challenge in itself - and coming in by boat would almost certainly be noticed.

Interestingly, I’ve just been binge watching the show for the first time. I’m on season 5 currently.

I would assume that there is some clause in the contract that they will be disqualified if that did happen.
