Fediverse@lemmy.world•Does it feel like the fediverse is exclusively used by older tech nerds?English
1·2 years agoI like Mario Galaxy as an analogy. Facebook, Reddit, etc. aree all like big planets. The difference with the fediverse is that we can make all the small planets we want, and each of those planets has its own communities, and it’s easy to hop around to different places.
But I know not everyone plays Mario Galaxy, so maybe it’s like The Little Prince?
I really don’t think it’s complicated, people just don’t have a clear analogy to work with because it’s something new.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•I don't get people that are here in the fediverse and *want to bring over* the content that is on FB, IG, TikTok, etc.English
85·2 years agoThing is, they don’t have to pay people for that. Some people just love having the contrarian “not everything meta does is bad” opinion because they think they’re being clever

I know you meant “threat” but that was a nice one

1·2 years agoHey, I’m Tobor. Migrated from another instance and I like it here! My interests are all over the place, but at the moment: Zelda, drawing, poetry and plants. Nice to meet you all 🍃
Might be controversial but I don’t believe that people who want to murder minorities deserve a voice. I feel like that’s a pretty reasonable bar to set lol.
It’s not controversial at all. The only people making “controversy” out of it are the ones who are mad they can’t spew hate

Not if you’re an EFL (English as foreign language) teacher and you needed a way to help your students understand adjective placement better: )
