These kinds of public errors are almost always a hard drive failure.
I’m so tired.

earthquake@lemm.eeto Memes@lemmy.ml•Reddit refugees complaining that there's too much NSFW content and communism in their Lemmy feeds3·2 years agoMaybe the admins can check their connection logs and tell us how many accounts (like me) are viewing on desktop versus mobile.
earthquake@lemm.eeto Meta (lemm.ee)@lemm.ee•Any updates about why lemm.ee is down now?English6·2 years agoThis is also why the beehaw defederation from lemmy.world was initially so confusing, because lemmy.world users thought they could still see and comment on beehaw posts and communities: What they were actually seeing was “lemmy.world/c/[community]@beehaw.org”, which took some time to desync and still let them post.
earthquake@lemm.eeto Meta (lemm.ee)@lemm.ee•Any updates about why lemm.ee is down now?English10·2 years agoHe didn’t post it to “https://lemm.ee/c/meta”, he posted it to https://lemmy.world/c/meta@lemm.ee, which is on lemmy.world but federates to other servers via lemm.ee.
Nope, not blocked. There’s not actually that many of them, but they were one of the few established communities on Lemmy before the reddit explosion so I think they were disproportionately visible until everyone else started organically out-posting them.
earthquake@lemm.eeto You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK: What other instances have the most notable Lemmy instances defederated withEnglish22·2 years agoLast time I looked at the list, It’s mostly an imported list of horrible mastodon/pleroma instances, not Lemmy servers, and seemed reasonable to me. Go take a look at a few.

(Updated)4·2 years agoNot that I think it would change the results, just out of curiosity, can you as the admin separate out upvotes/downvotes by lemm.ee accounts versus other servers voting?
earthquake@lemm.eeto Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•Part of the Social Security website (ssa.gov) only works during certain hoursEnglish233·2 years agotranslation: “It’s impossible to have a conversation about the GOP “Starve the beast” policy because the conversation will be derailed by “LGBT people exist, something something woke ideology””
Schwip Schwap. In fact, ablaut is a German word: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indo-European_ablaut
It’s common to all Indo-European languages to some degree
If you’re unsure, just post. It’s fine.
earthquake@lemm.eeto Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Now that we are all switching to Lemmy, now is the time for all the redditors with embarrassing usernames to make their username right! Don't screw up this time!1·2 years agoyou can use a random username generator, or just use a cool sounding word.

earthquake@lemm.eeto Lemmy.World Announcements@lemmy.world•Some system load graphs of last 24h1·2 years agoI know that the RAM cache is just taking advantage of otherwise free RAM and will be dropped in favor of anything else, but it does stress me out a bit to see it “full” like that.
earthquake@lemm.eeto NonCredibleDefense@sh.itjust.works•Can't pop its top if there's no top to popEnglish1·2 years agoI would say the Russian army is one step away from technicals but I saw a Wagner technical in Rostov so I guess they’re already there.
Since the update to “UI: 0.19.0 BE: 0.19.1-rc.1”, pagination for comments seems to be broken? or disabled? @sunaurus@lemm.ee, do you know if this is a lemm.ee thing or a lemmy thing? I don’t see other people mentioning this when I looked for an issue.
What I mean: go to https://lemm.ee/c/meta?dataType=Comment&sort=New, and scroll to the bottom. The “Next” button is disabled (and if you edit the html to enable it, pressing it does nothing).
