  • That might be facts, but that’s not the whole story. History did not begin with the invasion. That narrative is not dissimilar to trying to pinpoint the Palestinian genocide to the singular event of Oct 7. There‘s precursors and reasons for what happened and ignoring them does in fact distort the picture heavily.

You’re thinking through an Us vs Them mentality, a bogeyman, and by that start to dismiss any narrative that contradicts ours. Of course, you can ignore them, or discredit anyone that works to take this conflict seriously. Or, careful, you yourself start taking „the other side“, „the enemy“ seriously, for example that Russia as sovereign regional power might be having legitimate interests and red lines, but also take seriously what the other involved parties say and do. For example, on our side: censorship, repression, fueling the war, prolonging the war, avoiding diplomacy, weaken asylum for Ukrainians, that fled the war, so they can be directly deported back into the meat grinder. On our side opposing narratives are systemically oppressed, for example by sanctioning journalists into absolute inability to live, like Hüseyin Doğru (who got sanctioned for his Palestine coverage with counterfactual reasoning in regards to Russia) or Jacques Baud. A recent court ruling now also actively criminalizes the reproduction/sharing of sanctioned content (like from RT, even if factual), so it‘s not enough to censor the media of the enemy in order to force you to only feed on one side. No, now individuals that share information from the other side’s perspective, can be jailed for up to five years. Opposing narratives in regards to the barbarian Israeli state is oppresed in Germany and the UK, already. But ignoring the roles of NATO in the making and maintenance of this war, ignoring the US‘ involvement in the coup, ignoring the fascist currents in the Ukrainian military and government, ignoring the forced subscription of their own citizens … ah whatever … you‘ve got to realize that this is not a game, right?

Also, how does it compute for you, that our side is complicit in the Palestinian genocide and fascist Israel‘s Lebensraum expansion and Apartheid regime, but on the Ukrainian issue suddenly we‘re the good guys or have no involvement or interests? That‘s straight up dumb.

  • Nice source you base your hate on.

    From https://xjdp.aspi.org.au/about/:

The initial phase of this research project is supported by the US government’s State Department

    From Wikipedia:

The Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) is a defence and strategic policy think tank (…), founded by the Australian government, and funded by the Australian Department of Defence along with overseas governments, defence, and technology companies.

What are the overseas governments, defense and technology companies, you never wondered before?

ASPI receives funding from defence contractors such as Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, Northrop Grumman, Thales Group and Raytheon Technologies. It also receives funding from technology companies such as Microsoft, Oracle Australia, Telstra, and Google.

Finally, it receives funding from foreign governments including Japan, Israel, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.

They also have an office in Washington, D.C. In short, it’s a western nation-state and capital funded, crappy propaganda source.

  • Thanks for the unnecessary and cringe hate towards your dumb red scare bogeyman, I realize that they could do and likely are doing that, in some ways, generally.

What I‘m criticizing is, that you avoid reviewing your own claims and prejudices about something for which your knowledge stems from western propaganda only. All you do is claim that everything you associate the platform with is brain rot, government spyware, and propaganda. By hearsay. By indoctrination. Nobody’s telling you to use it daily or whatever. You talk out of your ass, which only poops out what you’ve put in before, only browner and stinkier. Exemplary, on a hit piece propaganda post on one of the US’s main media arms, against one of the two major western enemies. About a law that does not do what the piece is claiming it does. I suggest reading the direct translation on this comment thread.

Surely, the Chinese government will censor shit, one can hardly prove a negative. So, if you won’t find what you hoped to see, you‘ll only confirm your prejudice, that it‘s all censored. Meh. But what you could infer, if you wouldn‘t be fueled by your sinophobic hate, is that the people that do visit the region could very well put stuff on the internet, that would verify the genocide claims made by western media. But that’s not really happening. People would certainly try that, as circumventing the Great Firewall is of course possible, but you don’t hear about them disappearing or being jailed for exposing the claims, do you? And if there would be a rare occasion, would you check their veracity, or again take it all in, spoon fed to you, only to validate your hate? At which point will you stop angrily repeating bullshit, but actually start to think critically? My claim is, that you just won’t.

Likely in the same way you never took a minute to research the refutations of the alleged Uyghur genocide, only to steadfastly remain on your indoctrinated idea, that these evil Communists must of course be doing, what your good willing and honest media is telling you and now is replicating anytime it gets a chance to do so.

E: Brother, I’ve read your latest comment regarding Palestine. A lot of us went through similar realizations. But the consequences of what the West is and how it behaves around the world and how it lies to its own citizens to maintain it’s machinery just doesn’t stop in Palestine. The world is run by Capitalists, which own the media and, quite frankly, almost everything (like my flat or the fields my food grows on). We need to work our way through all the lies and that comes with a lot of pain for overcoming our own dissonances and preconceptions. Here, in the case of China, it‘s important to realize, that they are the main ideological adversary for the Capitalist system, and like Russia are unwilling to submit to the western capitalist class. It was similar with the Soviet Union, which is also the reason, why we’ve all learned a lot of history, that is actively written by the winner. Hate on nations like China is just manufacturing consent and dividing the working class. The Chinese are not our enemy, but their system is an existential threat for the Capitalists of the West.

  • Aaand you think, if you used the non-american version*, the evil Chinese version, to check out what people say about Xinjiang, you‘d end up being brainwashed by Chinese state propaganda? And you‘re so scared or prejudiced about that possibility, that you won‘t even consider it? How do you actually manage to do critical thinking with that kind of approach?

*which got bought to modify the algorithm, so that US citizens won‘t be able to see the reality of the Palestinian genocide anymore, so with the sole intention to censor and brainwash.

  • Deleting photos on SM / the open internet is one thing — what I worry about are all the photos in seemingly private (big tech) cloud storage. Pretty sure Google has quite a few pictures of me, although I personally never uploaded them. I know, that Microsoft got mine, as for a good part of my life I chose OneDrive as a cheap and seemingly secure solution.

Good luck getting your friends and family to explicitly not backup photos you yourself are in.

    Shit‘s mad.

  • If you yourself had any manners, you wouldn’t troll on an issue like that. Also, I didn’t call you names, I directly asked if you are Anti-Deutsch. You could just say “No, I’m not, that’s not my ideology. I’m just a Zionist, without the pretence of leftism”. If name-calling is that I call you out on the obvious bad faith troll behaviour, then idk, maybe stop playing victim, it doesn’t suite you.

In the comment I answered to, you started of with a deflection away from Israel, with classic whataboutism: “But there are other countries doing the same”. WhY dOeS nObOdY tAlK aBoUt ThIS oThEr StUfF.

    Then you asked two questions:

So why are they so special? Why is that tragedy worth all our attention and the others don’t seem to be?

I answered both of these questions, directly. I gave you my take, why this might be different from other atrocities around the world. You ignored it entirely and spam-pasted your previous comment with a little amendment how “it’s interesting to watch the global outcry for kinda only one of these genocides” and immediately again, deflected to another issue, which again was simply whataboutism. So, it’s kinda weird that you are talking about manners, if you yourself aren’t even able to actually stay in the conversation, but ignore people’s engagement completely. Quite demeaning, don’t you think?

Now you slyly pretend to engage with what I said with “To answer your question, it’s not just western news that (…)”, but you don’t actually answer any question I put forward. What you do instead is deflect from the actual substance of what I commented and derail towards what might or might not be your honest take, but it’s not in any way shape or form in reference to what has been said.

I could engage with your takes, I would actually respect them as good faith commentary, if only you actually engaged with the substance of my messages. You don’t, you are a troll.

You are a bad faith actor and I call you out for it. Directly engage with the comment I made above, do it now. Do you agree with my reasoning, why it’s different? If you don’t agree, reply with reference to what has been said, explain why the points I made are, in your view, not a differentiating factor. But you don’t do any of that, you keep ignoring the topic and deflect, deflect, deflect. You are acting in bad faith. We are done, if you don’t engage with the answers I gave to your very own questions.
