I thought it was a joke until someone at my company gave a company wide presentation on how to use AI to accelerate coding and st several points flat out ADMITTED he didn’t know what the hell it was doing but you just need to ‘baby sit’ it and you get useful scripts out of it. I’m a hardware engineer and I wanted to scream at him.

Those mini PCs just use a cheap laptop power brick and sometimes they can’t sustain their full output anymore. I had one server constantly crash and once I swapped the power brick I never had a problem again.

When cutting aluminum, push very gently. And when the raw material gets too small, don’t try cutting the last little piece. Small working material will increase the chance of accidents. I set my limit around 20 cm.
This. So much this. Even when cutting wood properly on a mitre be careful with little pieces. You simply cannot control or hold really small pieces. Almost lost some fingers and scaring the hell out of myself making that mistake.

I think you can get away with it for aluminum, but just be cautious and slow knowing its not the ideal tool. I’m sure it will work through since its such a soft metal. Just listen to the motor in case it protests your feed rate.
That looks like a mitre saw, but you mentioned you want to cut aluminum. Be careful, I believe mitre saws are for wood only and spin much faster than a chop saw which is designed for metal and spins slower.

Initially we put hardware mutes and piped the microphones to physical hardware that monitored for wake up words locally and would then start piping the microphone data to the mother ship once it was heard. Google told us to stop that, only way to certify the product as compatible with Google Assistant was to pipe the raw microphone data to the mother ship 24/7. That was 5 years ago and I removed all devices from my house.

Agreed. To add to this because the traffic is being blocked it keeps retrying so it’s inflating the traffic size. I have about 14 tplink WiFi switches on a vlan and my pfsense rule for NTP is less than 6 megabytes. OP is conflating legitimate NTP traffic with Tor.

I popped off the soft flaps at the bottom of my fenders and attached longer flaps from a semi rigid plastic I had so that it almost touched the ground. Looked goofy but kept me dry.
Early centrino laptops had a 16-32gig solid state drive in addition to mechanical disks purely to speed boost time. It was part of the spec in order to advertise Intel Centrino. SSD was too expensive to do the whole disk so just a simple operating system essentials raid type setup made booting incredibly fast for 2010 standards.

Hurray!English571·2 years agoIf you can solder and heat shrink then search for “usb c trigger board” on ebay and get some for like $5. They will request either 5v, 9v, 12v, 15v or 20v. I’ve found for most older battery powered barrel jack devices a voltage that is an little under spec works just fine. Ive convertered everything in my house and now own a nice USB PD battery bank, life is good.
At least she even comments. Mine just waves her hand in disgust. She knows it enables her whole technological life, but couldn’t give a shit.
