Yes. First time I heard it was still in October 23 in a fucking tiktok clip. Same with most of the other atrocities. The media reports on it now not because they’ve learned these things only now but because they have become impossible to ignore/deny.

I got hooked on kratom few years back when I used it as a benzo substitute. It’s better than benzos but still no joke. You don’t realize until you’re well into full blown addiction because the effects are so subtle. It started messing with my sleep and my mood, similar to opioids, so in the end I had to quit. The good news is the withdrawal isn’t too bad. I’m now back to being able to just lie down and sleep instantly but it took a while.
