100% done this. Some systems just gel with me better (like nWoD or CofD). I’ve always wanted to try this with Curse of Strahd.

Finally! It makes so much sense. Glad they’re giving up and just accepting it because I’ve been calling it that personally for awhile lol.
Didn’t know this was a thing either. Interesting. Excited to watch the video that I presume is summarizing all this drama.

RPGMemes @ttrpg.network•The sheer number of options is the best thing about Pathfinder. It's also the worst.
2·11 months agoHaha we used to live for that shit in the days of 3e/3.5
EDIT: I see now you thought they meant Pathfinder 1e, which explains it. Since that’s basically the same as 3.5 but better lol.
The USSR had to deal with a civil war, rising up during WWI and being sabotaged by the Germans, more civil war, foreign meddling, and all while being the first successful communist revolution. Yet they still managed to raise literacy, raise health outcomes, raise average life expectancy, gender equality, science and technology, end the cycle of famines (after the first one or two they had when they were still building up), had faster growth during that period than any capitalist country (except maybe the US, which was doing imperialism at the time and the biggest hegemon), all while helping sustain other socialist countries, like Cuba, Venezuela, or North Korea.
Ya I think he’s said something about replacing that advice with node-based adventure design or something, but this article by itself has helped me improve tons of mystery scenarios by itself that I think the advice works as is.

News@lemmy.world•Biden Sharpens Criticism of Israel, Calling Gaza Response ‘Over the Top’
7·2 years agoIt was still a pretty shitty deal for Palestinians. Israel still kept control over their borders, air space, and waters. It didn’t address the settlements, it was meant to undermine their attempt for a state, it didn’t address refugees. And even though it was a terrible deal for Palestinians, it was still too much for the Israeli right-wing. They do not want peace or true Palestinian sovereignty, and never have for all those decades.

Can’t watch a movie past 10pm without my neighbors complaining. I can’t have people over for a party. God i hate having shared walls. Never again if I can help it.

73·2 years agoEven I agree with that. And I was one of those annoying guys screaming ACAB and shit. I really wish that didn’t end up becoming the main slogan, because I really agree with the idea behind it. It’s like if pro-choice people were framing their own position as pro-killing babies on their signs and stuff.

71·2 years agoThat’s what defund the police is about. It’s about shifting the funding to other sources, social workers and such, that can handle calls like these. It relieves police of having to deal with stuff like this, too.

World News@lemmy.world•Hamas proposes 135-day Gaza truce with complete Israeli withdrawalEnglish
41·2 years agoThat war was started because Britain betrayed the promise to the Palestinians and gave their land that they already lived on to another state without any of their input.
Gaza doesn’t let them do anything. Hamas won an election once and there hasn’t been another one since. And the same thing can be said about Israel. They actually have elections and they choose to elect people that prolong the cycle of violence through constant land grabs, apartheid policies, and occupation.

World News@lemmy.world•Hamas proposes 135-day Gaza truce with complete Israeli withdrawalEnglish
81·2 years agoNothing justifies it, but if you want to know why it happened you’re going to have to look before October 7th. Decades and decades before it even. And you’ll have to be honest about all the things Israel has done, all the people they’ve killed (way more than 1,000 btw), and all the land they’ve taken. And that they continued to do so recently, even before October 7th.

I’ve played a Call of Cthulhu games in nWoD or CofD before. Never tried fantasy, that seems neat.
