MBM@lemmy.worldto Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•I'd rather have a "Would you like to hide all Sports related Content?" button than a "Would you like to hide all NSFW content?" button3·2 years agoMaybe communities should come with default tags. That would make it a lot easier.

Looks vaguely like the Condesce’s clothes I guess. Fuchsia+black and a ♓︎ shape.

Only from Mastodonians that put in the effort to post to a Lemmy community or respond to a Lemmy post. Still neat to see it working though. If you’re really interested you could try Kbin. It interacts with all Lemmy and Mastodon content.
Huh, someone else here said it uses Unreal engine
MBM@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•can we please keep this community about technology and not Twitter/X and elon news?English1·2 years agoThat would be cool, never thought about that. Straight up not allowing voting from All/when you’re not subbed could also be interesting as an experiment. But yeah, here plenty of people are just interested in Twitter news.
MBM@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•can we please keep this community about technology and not Twitter/X and elon news?English1·2 years agoMany instances have a tech community, I wonder if any of them are like that. !technology@beehaw.org !technology@lemmy.ml !tech@kbin.social !technews@radiation.party
MBM@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•can we please keep this community about technology and not Twitter/X and elon news?English2·2 years agoHow about the people who stumble across the comm’s posts on All but aren’t subscribed? On Reddit you could also talk about the original user base from before a sub started hitting r/all but !technology@lemmy.world doesn’t really have an ‘original’ user base.
MBM@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•can we please keep this community about technology and not Twitter/X and elon news?English4·2 years agoMost people on All don’t check what comm a post is from before upvoting. That’s why on Reddit all subs that regularly hit r/all are basically the same. I’m fine with the Twitter news here, but upvotes don’t work as quality control.
I think it’d be cool if Lemmy had an option to select tone the same way you can select language, and an option to hide tone by default

You can look for specific reviewers who tend to like the same kinds of movies as you, then see what they think. Or, look at the reviews instead of the score. I tend to look at an average review, a positive review and a negative review, to see if I care about any of the bad parts they bring up.
MBM@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•Eating meat creates four times more greenhouse gases than being vegan, landmark study finds21·2 years agoNutrition isn’t just about filling up some hunger bar counted in calories, otherwise we should just grow sugar everywhere and diet coke would be idiotic. Cow milk has more calcium naturally (it gets added to the alternatives), more protein (soy milk comes close, almond milk does not), but more saturated fat (the others have healthier fats)
Demon core but somehow even cooler (and cancer-inducing)
