Hey, violence isn’t the answer, let alone “the only correct thing to do”.
Edit: you all are real tough guys for advocating that the rude child in this totally true story get beat up. What a bunch of losers.

It’s not just about how much they get, it’s also about how much their opponents don’t get.

Does this not incentivise them to prop up the overpayed class of management so they can point to is as a comparable?
You can just post the source with calling them names… Incompetent seems pretty harsh for fucking social media lol. Cool off, touch grass, deep breaths.

It’s when religous practice violates existing laws. Pretty obvious. Is he breaking the law? If not- leave him alone. If he is, investigate convict and follow sentencing guidelines.

In reality not treating it with norms would immediately give Trump ammo to torpedo the entire thing and rightfully call it unfair. You can argue for reform but unilaterally imposing changes to how the process works for a single individual, during the investigation, is not a thing.
I suppose I can get behind this distinction. Veganism is a philosophy that results in following a vegan diet. And so I am saying his diet approaches a vegan diet, I don’t know the motivations for such- so I can agree that perhaps it isn’t motivated by a vegan philosophy. But it is not debatable that his diet is “almost vegan” in nature (it is definitely much closer to vegan than an average Western diet for example) even if their philosophy may not be. That being said- trying to belittle people for a lesser form harm reduction when vegan philosophy is literally a harm reduction practice seems counterintuitive and elitist.
He said almost vegan. As in not vegan but closer to it than other diets. Why are you so concerned with not using vegan as the far end of a spectrum of diets? It makes you look incredibly performative.
I’m not arguing that what you did was vegan. I’m challenging his assertion that you can’t describe something as approaching veganism without meeting the threshold of actual veganism. It’s weird and gatekeepy.
For someone so keyed in on definitions you seem to have missed the definition of the word ‘almost’. Things can be more similar to one thing than another. For instance using fish sauce in dishes vs easting a hamburger. But thank you for sharing your apparently very binary view of the world.
Of course it is. The concept is harm reduction. If you aren’t able to make the entire leap-fine, reduce your reliance on animal products instead. Gatekeeping and belittling people ain’t it bud.

Guy O’tine (he’s half Irish)

Guy O’tine (he’s half Irish)

Are you American? I’m not. I dislike Americans because their standards are as low as you describe. “If only we could have had the guy that joked about groping sleeping women from a distance become President instead of the Child rapist. It’s too bad she spoke up about it.” Is what I just read^^ ignoring problematic actions is how you end up with spoiler candidates like Platner, actually is what I would argue.

… So you think it’s not problematic that he, a person with power and influence, indicated it would be funny to sexually assault a sleeping woman? It’s only wrong if he actually does it? Go ask a few women in your life how they feel about it.

Dude… I’ve seen the photo. It wasn’t ok. The only context that could possibly help is if the woman in the photo came out and said “I was aware of the joke prior to the photo and consented to it”. Even then I would find it to be really distasteful. I’m not saying he should be in a cell, I’m saying it was a weird and gross thing to do and I’m glad he stepped down, even if he was good in other ways.

I believe he joked/actually posed for a photo groping a woman while she was asleep actually. You don’t have to lower your standards just because the other side has none.

Maybe the parent wanted to sell the shoes to buy their kid a new, better fitting pair even if they were less expensive?

What a typical fucking American take. “Stop making us do this to you!”.
Id disagree with you if we were talking about an adult but as we are talking about a kid I would say you are outting yourself as some sort of predator or abuser with that mentality. There can be consequences that are non-violent, violence just propagates more violence. Interesting that you took a popular phrase, changed it so that it has a different meaning, then tried to use it as evidence for your case. Get support, you don’t have to be so violent.
