The method I (just now) thought up using to signal humanity was responding to accusations of being an LLM with a “fuck you”. The combination of vulgar language and defiance of the sycophantic tendencies of LLMs feels to me like a pretty effective proof of humanity, at least for now.

Please, anyone who reads this, stop posting links to the mobile version of Wikipedia. It doesn’t switch automatically on PC, and I see it happen all the time. Just take the half a second to remove the “.m” from the beginning of the link, save everyone else from the pain of having to be surprised by it and taking the time to do it themselves.

And then they make an FAQ based on feedback from that thread, and instead of posting it anywhere actually public they put it in their Discord and direct everyone there instead.

Since this is the Internet and this sarcasm doesn’t exist, the serious answer is that the court systems (ideally) do nothing but enforce laws. That is their job, they should be the primary organization doing that job, alongside the police sometimes, and they don’t have any job aside from that.

Pretty sure early Netflix was competing with outright piracy, so they had to keep their prices down and their service convenient. It exists only as a consequence of two other requirements of the jury process. 1) jurors cannot be held accountable for any decision they make as a jury and 2) any not guilty verdict delivered by a jury is absolute and final.

To be fair (somewhat) Win10 had the dumpster fire that was Win8 between it and Win7, so it had all the people upgrading from Win7 as well as everyone that had Win8. Not defending Win11 here, I’m never going to use it.

They don’t just keep track of what videos you watch, they also keep track of what parts of those videos, as well as everything you search for and everything you begin to search for but never actually do. They also keep track of where you are when you watch the video and what device you are watching it on.
