Police have had to intervene after protestors clashed at the Adelaide rally.
The altercation broke out after a member of the National Socialist Network who identified himself as “Josh” took to the stage to call for an end to immigration.
Organisers attempted to take the megaphone, claiming the comments were racist, but other members of National Socialist Network stepped in.
Several protestors were involved in a scuffle before police stepped in to stop the rally.
@eureka @maniacalmanicmania these characters seem to lack a consensus on why they are out on the street and waving flags. The sole consensus seems to be a reactionary disposition.
Yep. They heard “immigration bad” and filled in the blanks with whatever they wanted. Now you have Bob Katter speaking into a microphone covered in neo-Nazi pseudo-Germanic runes and popular right-wing anti-vax grifters being yelled at. I know that a lot of the far-left complain about infighting but seriously you can’t stick these reactionaries in a room together.

Lots more came the whole time we were there but I couldn’t give you a number. Just that it was… a lot. Maybe all the flags makes it look bigger than it was.
There were 50-100 at counter protest which was fun and spirited. There were more police marshaling us then visible across the road. Someone from rally says there were more than 100 of us. I don’t know.
I went a bit early and overhead the anti-immigrant protestors speaking at the pedestrian lights about the cops in their families so yeah cops were at the racist rally but not in uniform.
A bigger turnout than I’d expect but good to hear they were outnumbered

The counter protest was fun but unfortunately we did not outnumber the aussie flag wavers. There were easily 1000 if not double of them. Sorry, the photo is from before many many more joined them throughout the late morning and after noon.
That sucks to hear. Usually for these things like 3 Nazis turn up and a hundred counter protesters
