According to the governor of the Ryazan region, Pavel Malkov, more than 100 people were injured in an explosion in the gunpowder workshop of the “Elastic” plant in the Shilovsky district, including from glass shards.
Preliminarily, the number of fatalities has increased to 5.
Earlier, the media reported that at least 10 injured are in serious condition. People are still under the rubble.
The workshop building is completely destroyed. Preliminary, the explosion and subsequent fire are not related to a drone attack.
According to the channel 112, associated with security forces, the preliminary cause of the explosion is the detonation of ammunition.
