Yeah just like how he planned to go to mars within his lifetime or planned to get that hyperloop scam working within the decade, or self driving cars, or whatever other obvious and blatant lie to get taxpayer money funneled to him because he is a leech

I’m with most here in that I have little warm feelings towards Musk, but I’m curious about the subterfuge here? Isn’t he just essentially opening the door to selling preexisting products directly? Specifically the solar roof shingles and the powerwall. Both of which are already available in the UK via third parties.

It seems like Tesla has already been doing some work in the UK with Octopus. I’m also curious as to what the subterfuge is, but I won’t touch anything Musk is involved in with a ten-foot bargepole if I can help it.

I’m not naïve enough to believe there’s no subterfuge going on, and a man who openly supports Tommy Robinson (AKA Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon) has absolutely no business being anywhere near any important infrastructure, in my opinion.

I’m with you. My curiosity has me looking at it, but he’s very much unscrupulous and only out to make profit. Especially given the troubles he’s put his car business into. It’s sad that Britain Gas is such a cluster fuck that anyone can waltz in and we all pay attention hoping for something to upset the status quo.

British Gas is a mess, although we’d still have to deal with that regardless of what Tesla does; they have no plans to offer gas at the moment, just electricity.

To be fair, most people don’t need gas. A forward thinking government would convert everyone to heat pumps out of it’s own pocket. Within 50 years it’d pay itself off and in the meantime we’d be close to energy independence.

It could be things like killing opposition like the hyperloop killed high speed trains in benefit for cars.

I’m not sure how that would look? We have companies selling both solar roofs and batteries in the UK and he doesn’t own any land for power generation. Even as a supplier, it’s a very saturated market. I mean, he’s a dickhead, but he’s not the boogie man.

Guess we’ll see in the upcoming months. Elon doesn’t associate his name with his brands except there is some stunt going on.

No no, he announced that we will be on Mars at 2022 originally. He is now promising 2030. He is vaporware sales man where future is always next year.
