This is called “self-employment”. Starting your own business is a special kind of hell that you would have to hate yourself to do willingly.

(EDIT: shout out to all the people that sign on for that kind of hell and are making their dreams come true! I’m friends with a few of them, sometimes the tradeoffs are 100% worth it to not have a stupid boss!)

        Story time!

My brother worked, as a salesperson, for one of the largest textile companies in the world for 13 years. And he did it all from home (i.e. telecommuting). Rarely ever saw or spoke to his “boss”…very close to being self-employed.

Then another textile company (very large competitor) offered him a similar position…similar in every way except for pay.

First year guaranteed $250,000 (he is almost one third through)

        Second year guaranteed $500,000.

        Third year guaranteed $1,500,000.

Neither him nor his boss knows what will happen after that…they’ve kept it open.

So your brother will be personally funding beehaw beginning next year, right?

LOL…But seriously, if I asked him, then he would gladly make a donation. This gig happened to a relatively good person. He is a generous, kind and loving person.

Kind of did that already, and for less money.

On the bright side, daggers are cheap… so if you really hated them that much… prison is like a vacation where you get to read a lot of books, right…?
