I’ve gotten ads for things I’ve just thought about. Never said anything out loud about or did any searches related to. It was something in a video I’ve watched dozens of videos about in the past. But on this occasion, I happened to think that I kind of want one for the first time. And I just so happened to start getting ads for them right after, also for the first time. They know way more about you than you think and don’t need to listen to you.

So the only acceptable way to communicate medical cases is in 2 sentences covering the context and final conclusion? And the only reason for that is that they happened to a real person?
It’s the viewing experience that’s the point. Would you want every murder mystery movie to be named “the killer was X”?
Well…kinda. They’re always technically true, but sometimes it’s like “turns out she actually had aids for years and never knew”

This time, they're not listening.7·2 years agoHow would your solution be any different than voting for a third party? It would have the exact same problem of being too risky because it probably won’t get enough votes to do anything other than help the party you don’t want to win. Ranked choice is a simple change that could be implemented quickly with some decent support already.

But the state of the cat is also already determined in a real experiment because it is linked to the outside through air and the walls of the box via vibrations and temperature. Probably even through photons coming off the cat hitting the box. I don’t know if there’s any way to fully disentangle it from the experimenter. This theoretical cat superposition only exists as a thought experiment

The ones that have survived have done so because they are very good at taking root and multiplying in the human mind. Sort of a natural selection of ideas. They develop the necessary features like a way to ignore contrary evidence and severe consequences for not believing

A double shot is the most common amount you’ll get when ordering a drink at a coffee shop, and 60ml is on the high end of that. It is simply a prerequisite. Secondly, Colorado literally held a trial to determine this. It was determined in a court of law after reviewing all the evidence and holding a trial that he was not eligible. This was not done “by the democrats”. This is the legal system and election officials doing their jobs
