Maybe some of that but my sense is that given how prescient FB has been on buying companies that grew to become staples, like WhatsApp and Instagram I would say what they’re seeing here is something like the future of social media - even if tiny.

That’s scamming. Modern political misinformation’s goal is maybe to convince but primarily to flood you with shit, muddy the waters such that you lose your ability to discern the truth in a reasonable time frame and abandon action, jam the machine, - “eh, both the same”, “eh, middle ground”, “eh, who knows who’s right”, “don’t want to get involved”.
Kleptocracy loves that. It’s very successful too - see climate change action, public transport, the current supreme court etc.
That’s the point! It doesn’t come with bash as a shell, it comes with ash - even if you install bash and switch to it, bashrc is empty. It’s a bit bare bones, which is kind of charming, until it’s annoying. Haha!
I’ve only installed it a couple of days ago in a vm and It’s pretty good but a couple of things are a bit startling if you’re coming from debian.
Eg. The lack of niceties like the ll alias. Or The config you have to go through to allow SSH Some utils I’m used to like broot refuse to install properly even though the apk exists. Fz-find doesn’t exist in the community repository.
But you can’t argue with apk - so much better than apt or how frugal it is re resources.

After finishing writing the “essay”, I take the 1 sentence conclusion from the end and put it on top, then write something like “here are the details if you’re interested”.
Sometimes it just feels good to write them down just to get them out of my head, but after that sometimes I don’t even send them, (delete them or keep them in draft just in case, or as future reference notes).
