First that name. Oh my word. Just no.
Second, pretty much directly encouraging piracy. Just… That’s also a hard no.
Sorry, while the technological concept is interesting for games that don’t have a restrictive license, between a lack of forethought regarding the name and the outright condonment of piracy, I’m gonna have to stay away. If these issues are readdressed in the future, it my be worth re-examining

Privacy Guides@lemmy.one•1Password: Rolling out telemetry this summerEnglish
1·3 years agoIn that case, assuming I read you correctly, I have to disagree. Privacy and security companies cannot rely on advertising or telemetry to be profitable; doing so is counter and paradoxical to their standing as a security/privacy company.
Bitwarden seems to be doing just fine. 1Password should be taking cues from them, not advertising revenue

I dunno. I realize the intent behind downvotes, but on reddit this led to dog piling. And regardless of whether you were “right” or not, if the first 1 or 2 down votes, by pure chance, didn’t like you, your post/comment was basically nuked to the phantom realm.
If it’s that bad, just report it. If its not worth reporting, its not worth the dog piling either
