  • Lol… You know the “every accusation is an admission” thing?

Republicans found this cool new trick about a decade ago, where the accuse Democrats of what they’re about to do. Then, calling them out sounds like “no, u!”, and their base thinks Democrats are the hypocrites

Of course the waste, fraud, and abuse are coming from MAGA. The cult loves that everyone else is being punished so much they haven’t thought through what happens when they need healthcare. They don’t care that Trump is taking bribes, they think he’s based for doing what presidents always do out in the open

You’d be better off calling for the Epstein files. Imply he’s killing the satellites because they might expose children being trafficked

These people don’t use facts or logic, every word to them should include the implication that their guy is a pedo, and that supporting him makes you believe their motivation is that they want to fuck kids

  • AI is just a reflection of you.

You want to date Hatsune Miku? Sure, go ahead. It’s just a one sided relationship, the other partner is entirely imaginary. And worse, the other partner is under the control of a company (unless you host locally)

If it makes you happy, there’s the upside. It’s not different than enjoying the romance in games and books. It’s basically romantic masturbation, most people do it to some extent

The downside is, the fact that you’re asking this as if it’s a choice is a bad sign. You can give up on dating, you can play with AI… These things are unrelated.

The people who get in trouble with AI are the people that don’t understand what it is. The people who believe it is more than it is

It’s a high dimensional maze. You can navigate it through interaction, you can get to know it, it can be reminded about your interactions to remember more about you…

But it does not change based on your interactions. It changes when they change the model

That all being said, it’s fun to play with sometimes.

So what are you doing? Are you giving up on dating? That’s fine, I get that. The whole process of dating has been monitized to hell and a lot of people are dropping out, which kind of makes the whole process harder

You want to play with AI? Go on crushon.ai, don’t spend a penny, interact with AI ephemerally. Have fun with the stories. Never forget what they are though… They’re interactive stories.

But if you want to improve your life, and maybe meet someone in the process? Do what the best people do. Do volunteer work. Join your local DSA. Go walk dogs at the animal shelter. Whatever calls to you

If you make an effort to do good things, you’ll end up around good people. And the only way to meet the people who no longer do to bars and caring apps is through people. Make new connections, new friends, new neighbors, and people will try to set you up

  • I’m sure they were probably more confused… Honestly, they probably heard me coming and separated out of surprise. Then I just pretended like it’s normal to forestwalk, and then pretended like it’s normal to encounter people in their underwear and continue in a straight like 6

I mean, it’s not like I cared. It’s just a funny story to me, but to them? Their illusion of privacy was shattered. How will they ever feel safe in their forest rendezvouses again?

But on the other hand, I did nothing wrong…by the time I saw them, they were both staring at me. In the moment, it felt like not reacting was the kindest course of action

  • I mean, yeah. Aside from Maryland and I think one other, the blue states aren’t very gerrymandered. This is one of the main tools that kept the Republicans relevant… They’ve just been cheating for decades, pushing further and further

If we strip fair election laws in places like California and cheat as well, they never get a majority in Congress again. If we pass national districting laws to make them all fair, same deal.

As far as gerrymandering too much… Tech giants are hoovering up all this data in part to share with groups like Cambridge analytica, which gives ungodly levels of granular data. They got very good at predicting elections

And that’s why Democrats are freaking out about Mumdani and Republicans are freaking out in general - progressive populists are out performing the models by double digit percentage points. And that’s well past the 10 point lead they used to consider a done deal

  • I think the inheritance part is true, if your spouse dies and you have joint ownership of the home and bank accounts, they’re not being inherited, you already fully own them

You can do this without marriage, but you can’t do this for the purposes of tax avoidance… If you give your child joint ownership out of nowhere, you’ll need to explain why if the IRS starts asking questions. And there are valid answers, like if they work the family farm or business, it does make sense that they should gain ownership as their responsibility grows. Things can also be gifted for less tax obligations or put into a trust (and those rules are very wonky), but this is a simple traditional practice

But with marriage? You can claim “this is just how we do marriage, we have joint finances”, and that is an accepted cultural behavior in most places. You can do it immediately, and it offers legal protection as well… For things such as medical malpractice, only the negligent party is exposed, so you cut the maximum amount that can be collected to your combined ownership/2 - primary home and other basics

Granted, I think “but this way we can cheat the system and pay less taxes” is a terrible rationale for child marriage…

  • Yeah, obviously. Typing in codes makes you better at typing in codes… My job is to minimize human error on skilled data entry

Scans are like, 100x more reliable, maybe more. I can’t count the number of bugs that ended up being human error. In several years of coding, my mistakes costed cents…Theirs costed tens of thousands of dollars

They’re avoiding scans because they’re dumb, simple as
