Thanks for the reply. I’ve tried it before and I tried it again just now and for the life of me I could not find a way to swipe to return to the previous post from the main feed. If there is a setting I am missing I’d love to be proven wrong.

Arctic, but the TestFlight expires in 13 days, and the AppStore version was last updated 7 months ago. I’m not complaining, as it is free. However, it’s the only app I’ve tried that has the swipe back option that Apollo had, and I find that really useful. If you want to return to the last post you viewed, from the feed screen you simply swipe from right to left.
Do any other apps have this feature now?

This Chicken recipes uses some anise. Not much but might help out. It is delish.

Yeah, consommé is the most prominent stock in the supermarkets, followed by chicken, and like you said beef. I’ve never used pork broth myself, but I wonder if this is what you’re looking for.

As in ramen? Have you ever been to Kyushu? These things are regional.

th3dogcow@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Japanese people on lemmy, what is Japan actually like ?English116·2 years agoI’m a permanent resident of Japan and am raising a family here. I think you would get better responses if you posed more specific questions, or provided examples of what kind of misunderstandings people have experienced and posted about online.
I find Japan a pleasant place to live, but it is far from perfect, just like any society. The cost of living is quite reasonable compared to many other countries, which makes the lower salaries go further.
People are generally friendly, but you sometimes have to read between the lines, as people tend to be less direct so as to avoid confrontation (“It is a little difficult” is a polite way to say “No!” for example).
Anyway, if you have any other questions I’ll be around.

I don’t see why it wouldn’t work for you. Just be sure to have some kind of weather guard on there to stop rain getting in (basically, the slats on the vent cover should point downwards).

In the image viewer, quickly swiping left or right after opening the image zooms the image in to a very high level. Is that expected behaviour?

Thanks. I tried with a without a case just now with not the TestFlight and the web app and still couldn’t get it to work! I also have a glass screen protector I wonder if that is messing with it? Anyway, the way Arctic has it implement it works every time.
