No idea if that’s the case here, but it’s plausible “Booby Master” was basically a form of protest, or at least making a joke out of a bad situation.

This is a complete nothingburger article that’s just repeating Tyler McVicker’s speculation. I like McVicker, but to act like his guess is insight from a “Valve insider” is dogshit-tier journalism.

Beyond the fact that I generally like Valve hardware and could use another spare controller, I mainly want it to play Guild Wars 2 on my TV. As an MMO, it obviously has a lot of inputs that make using a traditional controller for it difficult. I already created a custom layout for the Steam Deck which works pretty well for me, but I’d really rather use my far more powerful desktop PC and TV when I’m at home, which the Steam Controller should allow me to do.

I haven’t played it myself, but KLETKA is similar to Lethal Company or R.E.P.O.

Not sure what genre they’re considered to be, but I’ve sometimes heard them referred to as “friendslop”, although the term seems overbroad.
