I think the best use of the anachronism trope is a Knights Tale’s use of music. I know it’s his isn’t a twist ending so it’s a bit away from the question but the use of modern songs in a medieval setting should rip us out of context but it really works.

I’d love to get a rerun of BioShock as I’ve never tried the remastered version. Also I’m currently listening to the third book of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. It’s pretty good but I feel like the author has deeper plans for the whole series that are only getting trickled out at this point.
