selokichtli@lemmy.mlto World News@lemmy.world•‘Historic’: how Mexico’s welfare policies helped 13.4 million people out of povertyEnglish10·2 days agoWe are very happy to see this in Mexico. We only hope for it to be sustainable. Mexican economy is not growing as fast as other developing countries’, but the economic equality is going down. This is not terrible, since wealth is flowing to the poor. The extremely rich are still extremely rich, so, probably they aren’t very happy, but they’ll be okay.
However, from Wikipedia:
Free hydride anions exist only under extreme conditions and are not invoked for homogeneous solution. Instead, many compounds have hydrogen centres with hydridic character.
Aside from electride, the hydride ion is the simplest possible anion, consisting of two electrons and a proton.

selokichtli@lemmy.mlto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why do Americans pretend they're not broke when most Americans are in debt?4·5 days agoIt’s actually curious to read this comment while several others state how they could manage to pay their debt, but they choose to be in debt because it’s somehow convenient for them. I believe them, it’s just curious because anyone could say the same.
selokichtli@lemmy.mlto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why do Americans pretend they're not broke when most Americans are in debt?6·5 days agoYeah, but if you were younger than 35 in 2022, your net worth was 39,000 USD. It was already brutal, since society expects people to own, or at least rent, homes in their twenties. Now, I haven’t heard about things shaping up for younger people (quite the contrary), Trump’s dollars are less biggy and the clocking bomb in the form of inflation, they all paint a gloomy picture.

Show your objective measures, then.
Uninstall Arch and install Linux Mint. Give yourself that gift. It’d still be easier than installing Arch Linux, and you’ll be way more comfortable most of the time in the long term. It’s not that you can’t use Arch, but their approach is not beginner-friendly.
Well, that, yes, and McArthysm and descendants.
Oh, die already!
I think my “cat” has a good chunk of Anomalocaris genes.

It’s Adobe you should reach to get you a solution, not us, Linux users. As much as we would like to help you, you are caged by Adobe and your industry “standards”.
selokichtli@lemmy.mlto Technology@lemmy.world•Microsoft no longer permits local Windows 10 accounts if you want Consumer Extended Security Updates — support beyond EOL requires a Microsoft Account link-up even if you pay $30English5·13 days agoIt’s stupid, honestly. I was trying to play Fallout New Vegas for the fifth time, and starting the game I realized the main radio station of the game, which repeats forever, was mute. For my weird taste, this was a dealbreaker, as IDK how they do it, but their playlists have this quality to immerse me in the game no matter how many times I listen to them. Tried every fix I could find to sort this problem with no success. So, back to Windows 10, and it works. At this point of time, I don’t play New Vegas, but there are so many GB to download, partitions to extend, etc. I guess in December I will try to go back to Linux.
I seriously don’t know if it’s easier to do the opposite list.
They where busy… walking?
