There’s a fork of QK called QUIK if you like that app but want something more updated. I personally use fossify though.

Support for ebooks is honestly pretty good. The reader is mid tier at best but it’ll only get better, hopefully.

How is this working for you? The ui for it is completely busted on the newest version of nextcloud for me. I’ve been slowly moving most of my stuff to nextcloud but the news just isn’t working so I’ve kept my freshrss instance up and running.

Fluent Reader. I use it with freshrss myself but it is just as good using it fully local.

That’s a feature that I’ve personally learned to live without. Never really tried on gnome to make anything similar so idk what’s out there.

I voluntarily use gnome. I spent years on Mac os and I make gnome look like osx.

I thought you could too but I use Google Fi and I just log into my Google account on a new device and it lets me deactivate the old phone and download the sim to the new phone.

If you want to host it, audiobook shelf is great. I use it for audiobooks, ebooks, and podcasts.

Other than that I’d just say get a library card and use Libby. If you have files in your phone playbook works but I don’t remember if its on fdroid.

I’m using kotatsu but I mainly read the marvel and other English comics so idk how good it is with manga but it’s got a similar sources list to tachi.
