Sounds like your friend might be bisexual heteroromantic. Happy to sex up anyone, but only romantically attracted to the opposite gender. I’ve had a few friends in similar boats of differing sexual and romantic attractions.

Depends on the person. Some people are more in the middle, some lean one way or the other, and others are more fluid and their attractions shift. There’s a whole spectrum of bisexuality. It’s also why there’s a distinction for pansexual, for people whom gender plays no role in attraction at all.

I know she’s a progressive, but I can’t find much on concrete policy positions because her whole schtick is talking smack about other politicians.
OTOH you have Mamdani, who is crushing the opposition by relentlessly focusing on popular policies. That’s the kind of future Democrats need. Listen to what people want and make that the conversation.

That’s the real problem there. The oil should smoke a little when you add it, that means the pan is hot enough. You can check by flicking some water in the pan; if the water drops bead up and skate around the pan like they’re on ice (Leidenfrost effect), it’s ready. If it immediately fizzles and evaporates it’s not hot enough.

They couldn’t possibly be wrong or unpopular, they’re just misunderstood! They just need to convince everyone what’s best for them! Drives me absolutely insane.

Trump certainly bit them in the ass and turned the party on its head, but the party is still supporting capital. Had he come out the gate with a crusade on corporate America his campaign would have faltered very quickly.

He knew a shutdown would have been devastating for their image, but all the extremists could see was working with the enemy.

It’s probably a fairly fluid part of someones sexual identity, but it is identity nonetheless. Though I would argue most people aren’t poly, as there’s a pretty big difference between having multiple sexual partners and multiple romantic partners, as well as between one person with multiple partners and several people all in a relationship together.
There are two kinds of addiction, physiological and psychological. Addictive substances are physiologically addictive because of how the effect they have on the brain and body, but that doesn’t mean you can’t form a physiological dependence on something and have similar issues not “using”.

The Post Office literally generates revenue, whereas subsidizing a private entity to do the same would be just throwing tax dollars down the drain with little return.

You're not lazy, you're doing your damn best.English10·2 years agoThere is some overlap, but it’s different in how they play out internally. With depression it’s usually a pack of energy or motivation to do it, whereas with ADHD there may be plenty of energy (and even motivation) but there’s an inability to stop and change gears. There’s usually an internal struggle of “I really need to do that” but being incapable of actually making the decision to do so.
I actually somewhat enjoy using Windows 10 after using a debloat tool and adding a package manager. Windows 11 is still unbearable though.

I’m sure the major companies will probably find some other way to contain it to the UK (or leave the UK entirely), but some will opt for the backdoor to cut costs.
This is what drives nuts the most about it. We had so many incredibly efficient, purpose-built tools using the same technologies (machine learning and neural networks) and we threw them away in favor of wildly inefficient, general-purpose LLMs that can’t do a single thing right. All because of marketing hype convincing billionaires they won’t need to pay people anymore.
