Yeah if you buy good games they have a much better cost to entertainment ratios than having a bunch of streaming services do. It’s the games I end up not liking that ruin it.

Here I am 10-15 years in and I am absolutely certain I’d still be way faster on a physical keyboard. I used to blaze on my treo. On my iPhone, not so much.

The only way this would work is if you paid for a subscription to many news sources a la Netflix. No one will buy subscriptions to each individual author or publication. But of course Netflix now has ads too, so greed really has no bounds, especially once they’ve got you roped in.

I think if you made billions in tech, you always qualify. To some degree even more after you stop working and still can’t find time to do anything beneficial for the world.

As an American living in Europe that travels back and forth every year, I can assure you that this trend is absolutely led by the Americans.

What we really want is confirmation that the articles were written and researched by humans. But failing that tell us that AI was used so we can avoid it.

If royalties are paid, in most cases the artist will get some. How much depends on the contract he signed. I agree it’s not a great system. I’d like to see some direct licensing with the artist rather than what we have today, but something is still better than nothing.

I always try to buy subscriptions with PayPal for this reason. Because buried in their UI you can go turn off the automatic payments to that payee. They usually cancel the subscription themselves if you stop paying them.

I’d rather artists get paid personally.
