@XeroxCool @Entitle9294 I often read of people claiming to have broken many ports and/or cables. I can’t understand how they do it.
Back once again with the ill behaviour.
IT dad in #Perth #WesternAustralia reporting in.
I like:

And no matter how much I may like your image of whatever I probably won’t Boost it if it doesn’t have good Alt-Txt. You know it makes sense.

@Profligate_parasite @thejml #PiHole sits in your network replacing your existing DNS server you may have configured. By using a specified blocklist(s) it’s mostly used to block adverts and malware sites. Can be very effectives. Can take a little tinkering, for example one side-effect for me was it blocking a local TV streaming app.
To start with I put one on a free cloud provider, with a VPN from my router to it and played with it until I was happy.
@shirro I can see me having fun in a while. I deliberately gave big G an incorrect birth year for my son so as to get him access to something. Can’t remember what. And now that’s all in Family Link.
I’m expecting the internet police to come knocking.
@Gorgritch_umie_killa @Zagorath you rode a bike along Orrong? And you’re alive? :bill:
@maniacalmanicmania they’re all dirty easterners
@Davriellelouna I might be missing something, but if the prompts were “draw a _typical_ <thing>” and that’s what they got then that makes sense.
The journo is searching for a story. He gave AIs simplistic prompts and got simplistic responses.
@OhVenus_Baby @drmoose depends if you’re doing 88 at the time
@Scorchx @WeirdGoesPro Their stupid admins permabanned me too. Same day, same reason as the erroneous automated ban. Apparently I was using a duplicate account to evade an earlier temporary ban.
Can’t appeal the appeal, so that’s that. #Reddit is a vile place anyway so no great loss.
@Nollij @Toralv ahhh #Smoothwall… takes me back to dual Slot 2 Pentium 2 full tower in my cellar next to the old coal chute
@QueenHawlSera lol. they blocked my account for having been created to evade a previous ban. Which was odd. First account there.
Figured it was some automated bollocks they’d be able to check.
Appealed, they reinstated it. Then permabanned it later same day for same reason. Gave up.
@QueenHawlSera @nightlily pretty sure that you just have to consider reddit as having been very much broken for a number of years now.
They erroneously ban good users and encourage the trolls.
The only way the experience is bearable is just to block idiots yourself and not engage.
@MisterFrog @Longmactoppedup “[The original bill] would have put Australia in a leading position to regulate big tech in a way that wasn’t just overly punitive. But then it got gutted six ways to Sunday,”
Wow. Letting Australian politicians near technology has ended in a pointless expensive mess? :blobcatfacepalm:
@markovs_gun @Abraxas Kids are being banned from all social media here in Australia soon. Including, it seems, YouTube lol.
Expensive and completely unworkable. Reminds me I must spin up that Mastodon instance for my kids and their mates :mastodondance:
It’s absolutely not about making sure everyone signs up to DigitalID.
@Etterra @FireWire400 I can translate it into Australian: Etto
@SkaveRat @brygphilomena Do you keep it in a bag like me so I can one day commission a knitted cardigan?
