When I was much younger this was an issue because I’d pursue people out of loneliness, not because they were actually a good match. After we’d be together for a few weeks, the loneliness would go away, and then I’d realise that I didn’t like them to begin with. Awful to do that to other people, I know.

To be fair, this only happened twice. I have friends who consistently take days to reply, that’s totally fine with me. But if I send a message, couple weeks go by without a reply or the person initiating conversation, and then it happens again, that means that they don’t care about talking to me, which’s 100% their right 🤷‍♂️

If someone is going through a hard time, dealing with depression and whatnot, that’s different, but also the exception.

Speak for yourself, if someone ghosts me like that twice, I’m quite done with them. I am an introvert and I take the time at least once a day to reply to all messages from people I care about. Which’s like 3.

Even if a very small percentage of teens has a phone, the social pressure for all to have it becomes unbearable.

Plus things like marketing phones to children and teens would also be banned if a law like that were to come into effect.

I stopped washing my t-shirts after a single use (unless visibly dirty, smelly, etc) and the lifespan difference is immense. Also drying clothes in a drying rack instead of in the machine makes a massive difference in durability.

In Portugal a whole raw chicken is around 3.5€, about 0.45% of a minimum wage.

Buy the whole damn chicken, it’s always cheaper, protein for 4 meals.
