Props to you for riding in sub zero conditions! I haven’t gotten there yet lol. And yeah it’s very much the same bike just with a face lift (not that it’s a bad thing, the cb500 engine is bulletproof)

Gorgeous bike! How are you liking it? I picked one up myself last year and have been having a blast with it lol
Aw man but if I don’t drink the stouts who will!? I can commit to tomorrow through Wednesday (Thursdays going to be a long day lol) but I’m down.
Hell yeah good work! And I get it on the alcohol part, I think when I abstained for a month i dropped like 10 pounds (that I gained back immediately after because summer is still stout season damnit) keep it up friend

My thoughts exactly!
You definitely made the right choice with the one you got in my opinion lol. Also damn that dog looks to be living its best life right there, unrelated picture? Yes. appreciated? Absolutely. Doggos are the best

Ooo I did not. I just got to the trail from the road, I do have a pump in my box to fill it when I get back on the road though. I think I’ll try that when I get back to the trail in a month or so (before I order new tires)

Exactly!

Ooo I’ll have to keep those in mind! Thanks!

We do it not because it is easy, but because we thought it would be easy. KLRs are such wonderful bikes though

This is why I never and will never wash my bike. The luggage rack is definitely getting fixed though since I quite like it around town lol

Yknow it’d make more sense to not take a 460 pound bike through sketchy shit, but where’s the fun in that? The bikes fine, I just need to design and 3d print a replacement peg for the hard case which broke off lol

Yeah, I think the 80/20 tires would have been fine if the trail was dry, but I’m definitely looking at more aggressive off-road tires next. The trail was basically wet clay. On the plus side that meant no damage to the bike when it took a few dirt naps lol

Is it courage or stupidity? Maybe both lol. And yeah, I want to repaint/wrap my bike eventually, and I’m definitely having my friends wife cut me a halfrica twin sticker for the new colors

The baby on board was taking the picture, it’s me, I’m the baby. Maybe j should consider getting a baby doll and keeping it in the box that’s usually empty just for shits and giggles though

If it does I haven’t noticed it. I just took a 3 hour ride and popped the box off no problem, unless it cooled within the few minutes. I did also have wet clothes in that bag during the ride and they’re still wet, so if there’s any extra heat hitting it it’s a negligible amount.

For sure! Keep the rubber side down amigo. The Honda 500s are phenomenal bikes, definitely sucks about the melted bag though lol.

Matte black still looks great in my opinion!
And Yep! Hopefully links are allowed but these are what I got

Seeing one of the reviews did remind me you’ll need someone with a 3d printer. The plastic spacer bit the bracket came with may as well have been made from tissue paper, but after printing new spacers they’ve been rock solid for me.
Aw man that’s the worst sorry to hear it! And yep, my license plate was hanging on by a thread or two with one nut and the other nut was somewhere in space probably. thankfully my buddy noticed and had a zip tie. I got new nuts that are retro reflective for the top holes but ever since that day the bottom two mounting holes are held on by zip ties and they have yet to fail me.
