This game sounded interesting, shame it didn’t get made. No doubt call of duty will steal this idea or maybe not I don’t think devs have enough time in a year to make a whole new mode and I dont’ think suits care.

Microsoft could just continue working on their steamOS copycat and then just let other manufacturers make Microsoft boxes. I think the future is heading more towards that then locked down consoles. Also Microsoft could make an xbox app that basically has all that old data.

I hope they somehow got rid of the worst dregs of IGN before they made this union otherwise getting rid of them in the future is going to be tuff likely.

I don’t get it either, consoles now are just cheap locked down PC’s. I don’t even mind if steam games come out on epic and I really really do not like epic, but it’s like a non issue for me. I don’t see how this is much different except people are worried sony is going to get a monopoly if xbox exits the space?

Good thing is they can still buy Titanfall 2 on steam for like $5 and it even works on linux

Tim Cain has a youtube channel but I think most of these people don’t want a social media media account and were just normal devs and don’t have that much to say about the studios.

I think it’s like rust where lots of people play official servers and I think more play community and modded servers. But there are a lot of people on those official servers. But I also think Rusts player based is more tech competent and it’s a more mature game which lends itself to more people setting up their own servers.

I wonder how much of this will go to actually Scottish game devs instead of billion dollar AAA companies living rent free in Scotland.

I see none of this as positive my person list would be the gradual rehiring of laid of talent as industry stabilizes again, continued progress of proton and steam deck devices (including windows based ones), progress in godot as an alternative to Unity.

Looks like company of heroes squad rts like set in the terminator future in some new split timeline. Made by Slitherine Software which mostly makes good rts games except for the new stargate stealth rts thing.

I can kinda see it with how hyper competitive games have gotten at the detriment of fun. Now we have match making with hidden elo vs back in the day just playing on dedicated servers. But it’s not all bad.

It’s very cheap to buy drive and just back it up periodically.
