I always feel the Air Force looks down upon close air support in favor of their more strategic mission. But they would never let the Army take CAS from them.
In case my opinion isn’t obvious, Everyone else has planes, why not the Army too?

I’m pretty sure that is where I was introduced to that word lol
I don’t think I’d place the blame solely on the flag movement. Rather the sterile, risk adverse, committee focused method of adopting new flags creates sterile, risk adverse, and committee focused products.
Caring about your state flag seems less like a movement and more of a weird fascination of terminally online weirdos. No judgement, I am probably in that category too.
I thought it was tree-bucket as a kid.
This is written by Behind the Bastards host Robert Evans. They just released an episode that follows this article pretty closely. Check it out if you’d like to listen to more of this sort of content.
Interestingly, when you commission as an officer your oath only mentions the Constitution.
_I __, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.
When taking the oath of enlistment it does mention the President.
_I, ____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.
Our thirst for blood satiates us, soothes our fears. Seek the old blood, but beware the frailty of men. Their wills are weak, minds young.
I just want more Kyouko. She was Shafted (hehe) in the last movie.
Use a terminal browser like w3m or lynx.
He says to me: “Brodie, how the hell else am I supposed to get the gerbil out?” My cousin was a weird guy…
Microsoft Outlook puts attachments that you open in some insane temporary folder. That’s fine for viewing a file but god forbid you save without changing the full path.
It’s super tricky and problematic. Organizations like AIPAC have many American politicians in their pocket. They pump a huge amount of money into lobbying our government promoting Israeli interests. But this argument gets awfully close to “the Jews have all the money and control the world” type conspiracy thinking which is very frustrating.
I’m still at work for a few more hours unfortunately…
This is super cool! Been following these guys for a while.
Have the speaker issues been fixed yet? That’s the one thing holding me back from permanently switching. I would also prefer Debian over Arch or Fedora.
Now that is a high quality snoot. A+ internet content.
Northern Virginia is unfortunately infested with these things.
I started fiddling with NixOS and it quickly became my Docker host and my virtual desktop. I don’t know if I’m going to put it on my physical desktop but the idea is tempting.
I don’t know if NixOS is going to take off but it seems like something the enterprise IT world may adopt and I want to be on that train.
I’m partial to the OG’s. Haunter in particular is too cool to be a middle evolution Pokémon.
You just reminded me. Imma go listen to it now.
If you work on a government contract they could be written into the contract.
The Department of Defense has the 8570 baseline which defines which roles require certifications. Having these certs are helpful because you can’t get these jobs without them. You can see them here: https://public.cyber.mil/wid/cwmp/dod-approved-8570-baseline-certifications/
