With bluesky and Mastodon, I really dont see people coming back to the platform. The network effect works both positive and negatively. If less people are using the platform, it will accelerate the move to other platforms.

It would be better for them to use Activity hub or at least hook into it. Leverage Mastodon/other services.

Mastodon really isn’t that difficult to hook into. I hope they federate at some point.

The guy who made that code is probably loooong gone to another job. And it worked before.

I did a whole ago just to see what it was all about. Then got rid of the setup a week later. It’s a cool project but I needed the other boxes. If you need a huge amount of parallel operations (and want to self host) it’s a decent option.

I work in government and we have systems that are planning on going live that will automate entire departments away coming in 2024-2025. It’s not perfect but it is being iterated like you said. It’s all about reducing headcount over the long run.

Gitlab/gitea might be better. GH is getting more and more DMCAed.

Emulation and working with many different stores (not just steam).
