What is a better alternative then?
I use Discord mostly for arranging matches in Wiimmfi, but yesterday I used it to get help about an issue I had running Knightcrawler (selfhosted Torrentio for Stremio) with my specific setup and some kind people helped me out real quick.

Another problem was that many sites shifted to providing only parts of articles instead of full versions
That annoys me so much, that is the number one reason why I use Feeder more than Feedly nowadays (I manually keep them synced, Feedly is multiplatform and Feeder sadly isn’t) as it has a feature to download the page and use their native app view, so much better than going to the site (even with Ublock I’d rather not go unless I want to comment or see comments, which sadly isn’t a thing for most of the sites nowadays).
The patch works fantastically for me, but I agree on the last part.
Don’t worry, the image is so pixelated that you can barely recognize it.
I don’t know of any frontend that allows this kinds of features.
I really miss mark as read while scroll and hide read posts client side as I can do with Summit, Sync for Lemmy and Voyager (IDK if there is any other client that has this, probably Eternity or Boost).
I didn’t even know YT clients were a thing yet (aside usual alternatives ofc 🏴☠️).
And the official app and web interface were a port-a-potty upturned into a flaming dumpster.
Could you believe that there are some poor souls that just went straight to Reddit using that garbage app and didn’t even make the effort to patch Sync?
