Totally agree. That’s the same way I feel about Uber Drivers. I’ve used Waymo and it’s amazing, better than the average Uber driver I’ve had. It’s a bad job that doesn’t pay enough, and while I hope those drivers are able to move on to better things, it’s a job that should disappear. If we wanted to protect jobs we should have kept the union Taxi Drivers. The current system just grids up poor people for Uber’s profit

This should not be a government decision. If you don’t like the closed ecosystem, get a different brand of phone. Government should not force design decisions onto companies

BOO! I love using the cruise cars. They have been the most careful with their implementation of the tech out of the companies I’ve seen in SF, only driving passengers at night and slowly increasing their covered area, and riding them is super fun. It’s crazy how Uber drivers and their supporters made fun of taxi drivers as luddites and people standing in the way of progress when they killed the taxi industry, then immediately complain and protest these companies. It’s almost like Taxis cost more because they actually took care of their drivers, then Uber undercut by abusing drivers. Self-driving taxis are clearly the only real path forward for the industry.

I recently heard someone complaining in a mainstream news YouTube video that desert storm shouldn’t have happened and wasn’t a real war because we rolled over them so easily. They said that because their tanks couldn’t actually reach our tanks before we blew them up we were just bullying them, and it was closer to a military drill than an actual war 😂
