gayhitler420@lemm.eeto Linux@lemmy.ml•Root access vulnerability in glibc library impacts many Linux distros11·2 years agoI replied to another comment with this, but Debian 12(stable, bookworm) and 13(testing, trixie) are affected by this but 12(stable, bookworm) has a patch out in the security repo.
If you wanna know wether or not you’re affected,
apt list libc
will show your version and the one you want is 2.36-9+deb12u4
If you don’t have that,
apt update && apt upgrade
will straighten you out
13(testing, trixie) has 2.37, but it’s not fixed yet.
E: Edited to use apt list instead of apt show.

lol take that fucking boot out of your mouth.
Good and Cheap is a free cookbook with a broad collection of recipes that can be made from stuff that’s available when you have a grocery store or something around. It has a bunch of useful tools like an overview of what kitchen equipment to buy, a growing season chart for cheap veggies and a breakdown of cost for each recipe.
The whole thing was written to fit the us food stamp budget and if you get tired of the pdf and want physical copy, the publisher will donate one to a family on food stamps when you buy one for yourself.
The recipes are all pretty generalized and can be applied to lots of different ingredients.
May I recommend lxqt and a trackball?
It’s not cool. It means you have gray hairs. The packages are old by default.

There’s no reason. I switched to Debian after leaving Slackware around the reiser4 time. It’s real good.

Winamp is Winamp for Linux. It runs in wine, but a lot of the visualization stuff requires that you have fully integrated your gpu drivers and wine.
Winamp or xmmp/qmmp.
Can you point me at the right wing propaganda on hexbear? Someone elsewhere in this thread said blahaj has downvotes disabled so that might be two.
It’s interesting to me that hexbear disabled downvotes because of downvoting campaigns against lgbt users, cultivated a culture of replying instead, federated with blahaj, broke with blahaj and now blahaj ostensibly removed downvotes.
Queer instance main sequence?
Nice! When did that happen?

What? He already is?”
There is no way the sc will rule that chief executives can be prosecuted for crimes committed while in office. Every former president would be drowned in lawsuits immediately. Discovery alone would subject so much information to FoIA that it would require additional staff.

gayhitler420@lemm.eeto 196@lemmy.blahaj.zone•If you choose not to decide You still have made a RULE1·2 years agoi guess what i was trying to avoid saying right out is that it’s an indictment of the seriousness of electoralism when the supporters have to roll out quotes about bodily struggling to create a livable home after twenty years of fascist military dictatorship so they can support it.
surely there’s people who wrote stuff about voting that can be used to make the case for voting.
mobilizing words written to encourage peoples involvement in worker struggles as a call to vote doesn’t do any favors for liberal democracy.
That deep primitive fear you talk about isn’t animal, it’s social.
We’re taught that idea. Family is defined by the state as biological relationship so we all have experience with that structure and conflate it with the biological. States throughout history have done such a good job of reifying the idea that family is blood relation that we don’t question it!
If the cognative notion that your kid wouldn’t have more kids could influence the “animal” fears like fight or flight it wouldn’t come out in dread or anger, it would be hormones and other purely biological effects in your body.
I’m not saying this to be jerk or call you crazy, but fr talk to a therapist about this. Someone who can help you figure out what your feelings mean is really helpful.
