Fascist and colonial states atrocities are widely documented in Wikipedia, countries that we consider capitalist probably too. I recently stumbled across Belgian atrocities in Congo reading Wikipedia by accident. It motivated me to read more about it in the future, maybe “Heart of darkness” (while not exactly historical, it still seems like a good critique. By the way is it a good novel?).

9·1 month agoUnfortunately you have to create an account and provide phone number to WhatsApp for communication with your family.
You can disable cloud backups, set auto destruct message timers, not use metaAI and not put any extra info, but not much else to mitigate. At least message or voice content is end to end encrypted, but Meta sure collects a lot of metadata.
Also if you are on grapheneos, you can set up contact scopes, to only include people you communicate with on the service.
3·2 months agoYou can jailbreak the console, but you have to be on system software at least couple of years old or so. And ofc do not connect it to the internet, then you can pirate all the games you want. Check out modded warfare channel on youtube, there are various exploits for ps3/4/5 and he explains how to do them well.
124·2 months agoWorld without borders, is the world without escape. Now we have different jurisdictions, which limits the reaches of power of governments. You can move to a country with less oppressive laws, or at least get news from there. Different jurisdictions makes things like TOR and VPN work for censorship circumvention and privacy.
Besides earth federation would subvert any diversity we as humanity have. I would prefer more small countries gaining sovereignty than big empires(federations) growing. Power should be decentralized, not the opposite.

There likely would be some demand, but the premise in that case is to bypass 10000$ threshold of cash that you can avoid declaring. I do not think airports would be interested in facilitating that, and even if they do install the machines would be heavily KYCd with your ID and all, which kind of defeats that purpose, because you can bring over 10k cash no problem, but you have to declare it.
