It does, I’ve reflashed the bios a few times and rolled back to 4 different versions. No luck.
I thought of this, but I’m frozen on the bios splash screen with or without USB peripherals plugged in.
I get error 98 in boot with any USB device plugged in, which I think means USB init starts, but hangs during enumeration.
If i remove all usb devices it hangs on at D7, which i think means that USB init completes, no input found.
The fact that it’s not moving past BIOS splash screen is concerning and leads me to think this won’t be a viable solution. I’d imagine that the board will still try onboard USB first and hang before they ever reach the PCIe card. I did some other troubleshooting, at this point I’ve accepted that the board is toast.

Haven’t seen it mentioned, maybe I didn’t look hard enough. Wouldn’t this be a huge problem for water damage and mold between the walls? All I can think about is all that shower water + steam getting in there

I just wish someone could explain to me the benefits of doing this? Who stands to benefit financially? Who are the stakeholders? Why can webapps not be used instead? Do side loaded apps have access to apples APIs, do webapps not? Can apple, like Reddit charge for use of said APIs?
Also, why does everyone seem to portray such a personal stance on the subject, how would allowing side apps benefit any of those who have downvoted me in their day to day lives.
The barrier to entry for an android is incredibly low. You could trade in your iPhone to get an android. There is choice in the market place, exercise your own freedom and switch to android

Using the same logic: just don’t participate by not purchasing an apple product. There are alternatives out there, buy an android. I enjoy my walled garden, it’s a feature that I pay a premium for.
