It’s an actual tweet from Pop Base. They’re not in the habit of fabricating stories from whole cloth.

I…wish I hadn’t read that.
USS America (LHA-6): https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0a/USS_America_(LHA-6)_F-35B_loaded.jpg
All the fixed wing aircraft on it are F-35Bs which are STOVL (short take off vertical landing) and V-22 Ospreys (technically tilt-rotor but the wings themselves are stationary), which have both VTOL (vertical take off and landing) and STOL (short take off and landing) capabilities. So the idea that an open top surface ship can’t be designed just for VTOL, STOL, or STOVL fixed wing aircraft is ludicrous lol.
I know. r/unpopularopinion’s top posts were always popular opinions. I’d call it ironic except that it’s completely expected.
Some people have said exactly that to me. I don’t have any tattoos myself but I have not a single care if someone does have them.
I’m not the artist. You would need to contact her.
This story links to an NPR interview with the pastor who says Christianity is in crisis:
“It was the result of having multiple pastors tell me, essentially, the same story about quoting the Sermon on the Mount, parenthetically, in their preaching — “turn the other cheek” — [and] to have someone come up after to say, “Where did you get those liberal talking points?” And what was alarming to me is that in most of these scenarios, when the pastor would say, “I’m literally quoting Jesus Christ,” the response would not be, “I apologize.” The response would be, “Yes, but that doesn’t work anymore. That’s weak.” And when we get to the point where the teachings of Jesus himself are seen as subversive to us, then we’re in a crisis.”
It’s a real story.
It’s a progressive new site, and this story links to an NPR interview with the pastor who says Christianity is in crisis:

So it’s definitely a real story.
What prior discussion?
I don’t know. It was personal work that she did between commissions and she didn’t elaborate beyond that in her tweet.
I lived in Colorado for a few years in the mid 90s and I remember seeing a bumper sticker that said in big letters “GO BACK TO CALIFORNIA”and in smaller letters below it said “and take a Texan with you.” Always thought that was funny despite the explicit nativism. And they were mad for the reason you described: they didn’t like Californians driving up real estate prices (and Texans were also doing it to a lesser extent). I can understand where the resentment comes from, but I’m not fond of the hostility towards outsiders.
Good to know. I’ve fixed it and won’t do it again. Thanks for the heads up.
The song is “Hold The Line” by Toto
Whoa whoa whoa 🎶
So what do you want me to do about it then? Call up Elon, or wait for the New York Times to report on it? Pop Base was one of the first to report the new X logo. Good enough for me. If it’s not good enough for you then you’re free to downvote.
