Boo. No Kraftwerk 1 or 2.
Such a great album opener. I love when people are hearing it for the first time and turn up the volume to hear the intro better and then, well, you know…

I’ve never played the board game because a) it’s pretty pricey and b) I don’t have a consistent group to play it with. I also do love digital adaptations of epic board games because it makes managing turns, cards, health etc way easier. That being said, this port of Gloomhaven is clearly very taxing on the aged hardware of the switch. I’m sure the PC version of the digital adaption runs better/faster/prettier etc. I’ve been playing by myself and despite all my complaints about the switch version, still thoroughly enjoying it.

I’ve been obsessed with gloomhaven since it was released on the switch. Sure it has a lot of UI issues and absolutely devours my switch’s battery life but it really scratches a heavy strategy itch in my brain. It is a very difficult game but with every failed “run” you keep all the gold and experience you gained so even failing a scenario helps progress you towards leveling up and being able to buy new items to help you in future endeavors. Every win I have eked out has felt really hard won and rewarding because of that.
!homebrewing@sopuli.xyz is probably the community I’m most active in. It’s a welcoming community for anyone who brews their own alcohol (mainly beer focused I would say but some people have made mead and other wines).
Baconeater eat bacon. Bacon tasty!
They look like Yorkshire Puddings so I would guess they taste pretty similar. They are savoury and don’t taste of too much by themselves (but are fantastic smothered in gravy)
Mine is currently “Yer a WiFi Harry”
Nice! I backed the kickstarter as soon as it came out but I haven’t played the game yet on TTS. I did watch Jorbs stream it with one of the developers and it looked awesome. “This is the first time I’ve ever needed one more gold at the store and the devs have actually stopped by to give me one more gold”
EDIT: I guess I hadn’t looked for more webcomic communities in a while and there are more available now which have people actually posting OC to instead of just reposting from elsewhere with no discussion. I’ll leave my original comment below regardless.
I’m of mixed opinion about this. I only subscribe to one bot-led community (!comics@lemmit.online) and whilst I hate that every comic is just reposted from Reddit by the bot and so has no comments or discussion, it seems that no comic creators are posting to Lemmy yet and so I would rather still be able to see the content they are creating than miss it entirely. I understand that both the community and the bot are hosted on lemmit.online so they won’t be affected by the bot policy of lemm.ee but it still speaks to the problem of lack of content posted to Lemmy in general (at least in certain communities).
The skeptic in me just reads this as “all seats will now be at the higher price”
I would certainly characterize myself as a tech-enthusiast rather than from a technical background. I have a Chemistry degree and work in a tangentially related field (Brewing industry) though mainly on the sales/retail side rather than production. I don’t code but it’s certainly something I am interested in. I’ve set up a Pi-hole on my home network and have a small Plex-Server streaming downloaded media (as I try in vain to disentangle myself from the myriad of streaming services that exist).
Yeah from the article it seems the “senator” is a reference to Bernie Sanders.
A more accurate title would read as follows:
Fran Drescher the SAG-AFTRA president and Bernie Sanders the “fiery Senator” discuss ‘fight against corporate greed’ and Bob Iger amid actors’ and writers’ strikes.
I guess underrated was the wrong choice of words. It certainly is less well known than it deserves. Slint only had 2 records and in fact had broken up before this album was actually released so the record label basically just gave up on promoting it. It certainly was an influential album and is now getting the praise it deserves (32 years after it was originally released).
She is the current president of Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA)
One of my favorite underrated albums!
How does she feel about “The return of the son of monster magnet”
