Firefox is so bad that even my chromium start to spawn multiple threads, this is probably because firefox is installed with mozilla malwares because everyone knows that a good browser uses only one process and one thread /s.

If I can give you an advice OP, is to, everytime you got angry to someone or something, think about twice if it is really someone being evil or if it’s just a thing that happend in a world where things we don’t like happen, you will got a little less pissed and will have a little happier life.

100% this, I had to clear my firefox for a while and then I was trying to install all extensions again and could not find this bloody extension, I got literally a month to find it again and discovered that was not working cause youtube cannot stop changing it’s UI, imagine my happiness.
When you install it you never use youtube controls again, just the extension.

There is a lot of stuff but for me the main one is to control the playback speed with mouse just hovering over the extension UI and scrolling mouse. You also have a SS function on a button and multiple ways to change your player window, all of this with a simple UI below or embedded in the the video player (you always use to hover over the buttons).

There is some extensions out there that can do most of these features but I always found them too cluttered if they have an UI or too clunky if they use gestures over the player. I always do shit while scrolling my youtube pages using the Tweaks for youtube extension cause my mouse were always in the wrong place while scrolling and I slow the video instead.

Any OS is kinda garbage on VM. I tried to run windows in a VM on my linux, the performance is pure garbage, usbs are tricky and so on

They are actually running in different refresh rates? The default is to cap the better monitor in the lower refresh rate. If I accept that it is fine to me as well. If I try to force different refresh rates on kwin , my games run with so much tearing, even with vsync on.

Ahh yes, this is probably the main reason I use Wayland, even being not well cooked yet. Screen tearing in games was insufferable using 2 monitors with different refresh rates.

Are you sure you are running Firefox with Wayland and not Xwayland? You have to add an environment variable to run it properly, the default it X

Wayland is DOA and will never replace Xorg. Deal with it.

I understand some harshness but this statement is just crazy, xorg is already dead feature wise and Wayland is de facto the new protocol, you can say it is not ready but there is no way back.

This is a great advice, I’m having issues with alt tabbing with dota, I should try gamescope as well.

Things like, scrensharing, OBS (recently was patched and now it works), discord, spectacle (is a little unstable), screen locking (only one screen or none of them turn off) and some xwayland games/emulators won’t work. All of this in a full amd setup with KDE.

With one Novideo 1660s my KDE panel frozen every 30 minutes.

If you only use linux for development or browsing you should find no problems.

You are absolutely right, I use Wayland on KDE cause two different refresh rate monitores but duude, even on amd you have some hassles. It is ok if you change some env variables, not OK for the average Joe.
