How in the world are you getting that the bar is 2lbs? No one makes a 2lb candy bar; the size would be huge. The bar in the picture certainly isn’t big enough to be 2lbs. Googling shows a Reese’s Fast Break Super King to be 5.25oz total, or $1.236/oz.

11·5 months agoEvery country subsidizes their industries. The US automakers have gotten tens of billions in bailouts whenever they trip on their face, plus decades of tariffs against cars made outside the US so they play safe in their home market.

News@lemmy.world•Black Trans Activist and Drag Performer Shyyell Diamond Sanchez-McCray Killed in Virginia
101·7 months agoYou’re an angry little pissant. She said no such thing, she said if she couldn’t avoid ending up in a situation where stabbing is a serious concern she had made some poor choices. That’s extremely different from ‘getting stabbed is the victim’s fault’, which you chose to read it as. It’s the difference between being hit by a drunk driver vs being hit by another car after running a red light. She very clearly listed places she avoids to intentionally reduce the danger of being a victim. Sane non-rage filled people understand the idea of avoiding danger just as they understand that not all people can avoid those situations nor can all danger be predicted.
It’s this famous Hong Kong movie scene: https://youtu.be/szPqlLQxSGY?t=1m31s
The audio in the animation is the Mandarin dub, the YouTube video is of the Cantonese original.

News@lemmy.world•Jodie Foster: Gen Z can be 'really annoying' to work with
22·3 years agoOr you know, just an older person going “Kids these days”. It’s a much more likely explanation considering Jodie Foster has been working in Hollywood since she was a child, and people that are actually hard to get with would have gotten soft blacklisted long, especially a non-AAA star.

15·3 years agoYou sound like an absolutely exhausting person. If you don’t see the point then you can just glance at the post and not open the link. It’s not some deep analysis, it’s just a quick list for people to glance at for a few seconds. Your contrarian critiques don’t even make any sense. You think a game is overrated so…it shouldn’t count? And if story mode isn’t being played it also shouldn’t count? And if mods are being used it also shouldn’t count? In summary, you enjoy nothing and believe no one else should enjoy anything either.

Games@lemmy.world•Lords of the Fallen - Official Extended Gameplay OverviewEnglish
1·3 years agoIt looks very finished to me, but just lower quality in some places as compared to the graphics. The audio feedback is extremely weak for everything - animations, hits, vocal barks, which makes it all seem to lack weight. The dodge move is so quick and has an insignificant animation and sound that it feels out of place with the rest of the gameplay.

There is no chance. All the forecasts for RAM and component shortages are for multiple years, backed up by the fact that contracts for RAM have been signed for multiple years into the future between the fabs and the big tech giants.
