basically you are not allowed to just live somewhere and live off the land. every place is owned by somebody. Even if you own your own farm you pay property taxes and stuff.

To escape the hamster wheel you just have to be rich and live off of interest. Or be a landlord.

In all honesty, its prolly not possible for most of us. But if you have or want children, you can set them up to have a better life than you. Educate them financially, die before you spend more money than you make. Hope they dont spend it all on coke and iphones.

  • just like with this teeth regrow headlines this will either take longer than we live to be available or disappear entirely. Wish we could volunteer more easily to new advanced medicine. A fellow who was late stage cancer was finally allowed to join such a programm but you are either given the real medicament or a fake one. Given how fast his health declined, i guess he was in the control group without effective medication. Just think about how many people avoid colon checks because docs still insist using their hands like its the year 1600. There are small robot pills which can do the same and these are cheap. but no one offers this procedure.

  • They said less “producing jobs” that men find fullfilling. More women dominated service jobs. They say its because men culture hurr durr how they were raised. But then again why younger men also sre affected. The answer was inconclusive. Men statistically dont get as high education as women.

I think there is a recession and many men are simply squeezed out of the market. If we produce everything in Asia, there wont be producing jobs here. And its not only low skill jobs which went there. Building and maintaining factory machinery is nearly non existant.

Back then, you’d find usable info on the web. Now everything is buried under centuries worth of AI slop read. Plus it was more accepted to have blind spots on your knowledge. Now everyone using AI raises some bars and the only sucker not using AI gets a worse grade.

  • I would accidently pack a slipknot shirt of my (rather big-boned) classmate after sport. My mother washed the clothes and would wear it in the garden as it would fit nobody else. I had no idea and never told her but seing her gardening even years after my graduation in a slipknot shirt was hilarious.
