I manage a family flat. The price is pretty much the half of the region + if the person doesn’t own a car, the spot can be rented for 1/3 of the rent. Yeah but it’s more complicated than that. Do you think the average user that for some reason uses Firefox will try to find out why his Google page isn’t working? Last year Google was fined €2.5b due to unfair competition. This is not the first time, Google probably makes a lot of people switch doing these things. The top post of Lemmy is about Google turning itself into spyware and this just shows just how thats accurate.

This affects me in a personal level and show how much power social media gives to random people. Note that the girl didn’t even had Instagram, she created one to respond to the fake allegations. She didn’t had an affair, it was fake/made up screenshots. She was only 22 years old. Rest In Peace. Good to see your input and how many people agree with it. I kinda agree, I am one of those jerks that will pray for open source alternatives, lmao, not so for paid or social media. Still being part of majority, I agree with you. I kinda miss the christian memes from reddit, it used to take the bible and interpret in some way, not as it was written.

As somebody said, lemmy have instances. I don’t think we are in the need to make more, but idk about that and it’s just an opinion. I think the next step is creating communities that a lot of people miss from reddit but feel they wouldn’t be welcomed due to existing communities and the current mindset in Lemmy instances.

Agreed about the less people makes it more comfy. The whole instance is your community too, I guess being able to choose what you want from a instance makes everyone more comfortable. You don’t get overflown with people with different objectives when it comes to browsing Lemmy.
