UnrefinedChihuahua@lemmy.dbzer0.comOPto Canada@lemmy.ca•Canadian Forces airdrop humanitarian aid into Gaza for the first time1·5 days agoI’m all for ideas to stop the genocide and I am 100% against what is happening to the Palestinian people there.
What I am against is sitting comfortably at home and asking someone else to go risk their lives to help, or hearing someone else suggest the same.
UnrefinedChihuahua@lemmy.dbzer0.comOPto Canada@lemmy.ca•Canadian Forces airdrop humanitarian aid into Gaza for the first time11·5 days agoSo get off of Lemmy and get on a boat, dude, and stop telling others what they should do without doing it first yourself.
Unless this is Greta’a lemmy account…?

UnrefinedChihuahua@lemmy.dbzer0.comto All Orange Cats Share One Brain Cell@lemmy.world•What the heck is this thing doing???English4·6 days agoWe loved our robot until our 5 cats, with 3 boxes and 1 robot, would all use the robot only, causing it to jam or error out due to pee weight or cats interrupting it.
It was either another $1k litter box or back to normal litter trays.
Trays was the final decision.
UnrefinedChihuahua@lemmy.dbzer0.comOPto Canada@lemmy.ca•Canadian Forces airdrop humanitarian aid into Gaza for the first time2·6 days agoI agree with your overall sentiment, I just do not think putting more people - civilian mariners especially - at risk is going to solve the problem or push the conversation forward.
UnrefinedChihuahua@lemmy.dbzer0.comOPto Canada@lemmy.ca•Canadian Forces airdrop humanitarian aid into Gaza for the first time3·6 days agoYou’re willing to risk Canadian lives and start shit with a nuclear-capable country?
I’m guessing you’re in the recruiting lineup right now hoping to join the Navy and serve your country on one of these ships.
Otherwise, stop being so lax with other’s lives.
Edit: also, Google tells me the RCN has about 40 ships, total. So not a great idea overall.
UnrefinedChihuahua@lemmy.dbzer0.comOPto Canada@lemmy.ca•Canadian Forces airdrop humanitarian aid into Gaza for the first time61·7 days agoYes I wish that the borders could be opened to let vehiclee-based aid through, but that seems outside of Canada’s control. I’m glad my country is doing something, even if that something is less than optimal.
Edit: spelling.
I had to click the HD option in Boost for Android to get a clearer version of the photo. Simply clicking on it gave me a pixelated version.
UnrefinedChihuahua@lemmy.dbzer0.comto News@lemmy.world•Blackstone's Wesley LePatner, a mentor to women and real estate investing leader, killed in NYC office shooting5·14 days agoNow this is a perfect example of the big brain thoughts I come to Lemmy for - I’ve never tried that before but instantly know it’s going to be awesome.
I’m surprised this needs to be explained every time.
A two party system sucks - and we all should work to change it - but in the interim, if we could avoid electing literal Nazis, that’d be great.
