They’re becoming ubiquitous in Korea. Restaurants, cafes. We even have unmanned convenience stores here now. Just grab your stuff and pay at the machine. Shoplifting is virtually unknown here.

Ordering at Subway. I used to be involved in the entire process of making my sub. More jalapenos! More olives! Now, I have to punch in my order on a screen, I don’t even know when they’re making my sub, and if I go up and police their every move, I’m a jerk. Not to mention for whatever fucking inane reason, all Subways in Korea have removed yellow mustard from their menu. The only sauces that remain are sweet or mayo. Fuck!
Battleblock Theater and Noita, but I’m having trouble with controller support for the latter. It doesn’t seem to work on Steam Deck when it’s docked.
Once More with Feeling
It’s possibly the only good example.
Something about Jude Law sets me on edge. Like I’m chewing tinfoil or something. I don’t really know why.
“love the uncertainty”
Yeah, nothing like insecurity. Everyone fucking loves the shit outta that fucking shit! Gimme it all. I want nerve wracking, potential poverty around every corner. That’s the ticket!
Seriously though, WTF is wrong with this person?
I recently sucked it up and upgraded Windows 10 to 11. Music production is getting better in Linux, but there is still a whole lot of existing music software with no Linux support. Cakewalk for example has no Linux support, and I imagine getting it working in WINE with VSTs and whatever else would be an immense chore. Same story with Ableton.
That said, if you don’t mind migrating to a DAW with Linux support like Reaper, Bitwig, or even Ardour - which is open source and free - producing music with Linux is the easiest it’s ever been. Just don’t count on Linux support from a lot of VST makers who often require you use their software to install their VSTs. You can usually still install those VSTs, but it sometimes requires less than legal methods, and may be a hassle.
If you’re a producer who mostly just uses a DAW as a recorder for hardware, it would barely be a change to your workflow at all. If you are reliant on Cakewalk and Ableton specific processes and VSTs, it would be much more difficult
Megaman 2 still reigns supreme IMO. The most consistent soundtrack for any video game ever. Bangers end-to-end.
Sexy Parodius is also fantastic. It’s a demented mix of jacked up, synthesized classical and folk tunes. This is probably my favorite track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlRO9Q0dbQA&list=PLAdIErLpAnQCc5Mk19_MAyeV5bMGsFRpG&index=24 The synth-sax is incredible!
NP! Enjoy!
Hmm. I suppose the “solution” is to just start it again on another instance and link to that version for archived material. Thanks!
My most played Steam game is hilariously Tametsi. It’s a Minesweeper spin-off with different layouts and shapes and zero guessing required for its ~200 puzzles. Some of the later puzzles require some absolutely bonkers chains of logic to figure out. It helps there’s a fantastic YouTube series of videos by innocentive going through puzzle solutions that are some of the most relaxing and entertaining things I’ve ever watched. He almost always points to the next thing you need to consider first, so you can just pause a video after he mentions where the next step is and follow the logic yourself rather than spending hours hunting for it.
You can see the remains here: https://sh.itjust.works/c/synthesizers@lemm.ee I made my new account a moderator of the community before lemm.ee went down, but I actually am not familiar enough with Lemmy to know what that means. There’s no owner anymore?
That would explain the smell and the taste. The one upside to this is that stingray meat never really goes “bad”. It pickles itself. Which as I understand it is the reason people started eating it despite the awfulness.
Either live octopus or raw stingray. The former is chopped up and dipped in spicy sauce to make it writhe. The latter absolutely reeks of piss (stingrays are full of ammonia apparently). Silkworm larva are surprisingly delicious.
Huh? I don’t think I’ve ever used a rental car service that didn’t require a credit card. Exactly so they can charge for this sort of thing.
That’s a bit specious coming from the land of Samsung, Hyundai, LG, etc. etc. The oligarchy is firmly entrenched, here.
Use the electricity to power a screen and speakers and sell ad space!
Yeah, those are painful too, but it’s hardly just Subway. All food has gone way up in price in recent years. It sucks.
