Oh definitely. I’ve been using linux on and off for…a long time. “Stuff just works” is a great thing for a daily driver (mine is xubuntu). I save the tinkering for machines I don’t need to use constantly.

Mint is my go-to linux newbie distro suggestion.

I’ve found ubuntu distros to be pretty good for 'stuff just works". My daily driver is xubuntu. That said, I’ve never tried using a printer with it. Good luck OP.
