I found the original study in the article, it’s in German. Here it is (Linux Gaming: Test Results and Conclusion), it looks like most Linux distros have worse lows and frame times than Windows 11, other than Arch Linux which seems to be a tossup.

Indeed. Swamps and bogs experience significantly less decay than other biomes, a dead tree will just sink into the bog and stay there a long time.
I would personally love to see that happen, but I think it’s unlikely. It would probably be more likely to get a more conservative compromise Democrat as speaker of the house, but only after the Republican party festers for another week or two.
Of course I own a car, you need to own one to get anywhere where I live. That doesn’t mean I have to support car infrastructure or be against public transit. I advocate for making public transit services more common and easier to use, and I would use public transit if my supported policies were implemented.
I would be inclined to agree with you if they didn’t get rid of Premium Light. I think charging users for avoiding ads is completely reasonable, we live in a Capitalist country and video hosting isn’t cheap. Even still, axing Premium Light shows a desire to screw over users in order to achieve more profit, which in my mind makes YouTube scummy.
Yes. Making videos is a job and the creators need money to eat and remain housed, it’s reasonable for them to want to be compensated for their work.
That’s a really cool script. Does it work for posts/comments that haven’t federated to your instance yet?
I also hope that they continue to be able to use that tool, but at this point, it’s clear to me that it would be wise to start learning new tools. For me, it’s not just that the company has made a mistake, but that the mistake was a repeat of a mistake they made back in 2019, which indicates that they may well do it again.
It probably used some weird webview shit they routed through Edge, so when you uninstalled it the entire system broke.
The current Supreme Court doesn’t believe in the supremacy clause and would rule it unconstitutional. Attempting to circumvent the Supreme Court without a constitutional amendment would trigger a constitutional crisis that could destabilize the government, literally no president is ever going to do that unless they’re preparing to overthrow the country.
Politics are as subjective as the right to privacy. There isn’t a hard logical truth to it, it’s what people think is moral. Considering that, and considering that right-wing billionaires aren’t known for being friendly to privacy, I think it’s fine to bring politics into this discussion.
Voting needs to be changed first. Until it’s changed, third parties will never be viable, and voting for their candidates will only cause a spoiler effect for the main two parties. Considering that the GOP is fascist, they need to be removed from office for any type of reform to be made successfully to the American democracy.
Maybe it’s Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia? They would be using Australian dollars, with $ as the currency symbol.
It also shows how detached some of these billionaires really are. A VR system is not yet affordable for the majority of Americans, and the technology has much more development to do before it’s as widespread as video game consoles, never mind PCs.
Here’s a Reddit post with some people talking about Linux distros if you want to see some additional opinions: link. Manjaro with KDE is a good option as well I’d like to add, my personal recommendation is to install a Linux partition separate from Windows and ease into it, if you enjoy the experience you’ll find yourself using the Windows partition less and less until you are able to finally delete it.
Indeed, the process has really been streamlined. The configs and additional stuff from the olden days still exist, but they’re configured really well by default and someone would only ever need to touch them to try and eke out as much performance as possible.
I’m sure these could probably be attached to an existing indictment, he already has so many.
I’m glad to hear the game’s gotten much better! I purchased the game on sale but have left it sitting in my Steam library for a little while, knowing that it is playing much better means I’ll move it higher on my playlist.
Indeed. This is well-evidenced by the forming of political factions in one-party states. Even though no new political parties can form, individual factions will form in the single party based on individuals or popular policies.
There isn’t always a catch. Governance is often based on compromise and corruption runs rampant, so often there will be shitty things thrown in to appease corporate donors and conservative politicians, but sometimes the government just does something good without also doing something bad.
