I’m surprised the issues with D&D arent more commonly known. It’s a fine beginning system but, me and my friends literally couldn’t wait to move on to new systems once balance fell apart past level 10. Now we just play Savage Worlds, Pathfinder 2e and Call of Cthulhu.

They probably mean this exact reaction where instead of being reasonable and explaining you don’t like being called that you launch into an immediate tirade.
One is an attempt to overthrow democracy and install a fascist theocratic dictatorship. The other is protesting directly against that. While you may not agree with their methods, which is frankly childish and placing the responsibility for our social climate in the laps of the oppressed, you cannot in good faith smile smugly and say “same”.

I don’t know I’m not really into TOS, it was too campy for me. I liked TNG just fine, something about ENT really had like a rough, we’re doing real first time exploration kind of vibes to it which I really enjoyed.

Agreed, and that’s not even accounting for how insanely corporatized those holidays are. I guess that you’re supposed to have fun and enjoy the celebration but after a certain point it feels like these solstice holidays have become ads.
